The Friends of Center 50+ proudly supports initiatives designed to promote strong social connections. Together we can positively address the issues of senior isolation and loneliness in our community and create a better experience of aging for all.

FRIENDSHIP BRIGADE

The Friendship Brigade takes a stand against loneliness by recruiting, training, and connecting over 100 caring volunteers with 1,000 isolated seniors and disabled adults living in local community care and nursing facilities.
FRIENDLY CALLER

Say hello! The Friendly Caller program matches caring phone volunteers with home-bound seniors for a weekly check-in and valuable social support.

Center 50+ Villages Network is a volunteer driven initiative that connects older adults living in our community, at home and in their own neighborhoods, to one another and their Age Friendly neighbors as peers committed to living, longer, healthier, and happier lives together.

CANINE CORPS

The Canine Corps is a friendly dog visitation program that brings a happy, furry hello to seniors living in long-term care facilities and shut-ins living alone at home. Volunteers meet with seniors individually and groups.
